An updated opening day roster projection

With a little over two weeks left of Spring Training, the Toronto Blue Jays opening day roster is coming into focus. But what exactly does that look like?
Kevin Gausman, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Max Scherzer, Bowden Francis.
The rotation has been set since the
Blue Jays signed Scherzer. Nothing has changed. Barring an injury, it will still stay the same for opening day.
Jeff Hoffman, Chad Green, Yimi Garcia, Dillon Tate, Nick Sandlin, Brendon Little, Ryan Yarbrough, Yariel Rodriguez
While an injury to Erik Swanson hypothetically opened up a spot in the pen, the
Blue Jays also just brought back Tate. Combined with Yarbrough's deal and it looks life the relief corps is set as well.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Andres Gimenez, Bo Bichette, Ernie Clement, Will Wagner, Addison Barger
We know who the starting four are going to be, with Guerrero, Gimenez, Bichette, and Clement combining to make a strong infield. Where things have changed is in terms of bench players.
Leo Jimenez was initially thought to have an inside track on a job, especially since he can play shortstop. But he's had an inconsistent spring and with the
Blue Jays being granted another option year on him, he might be headed for Triple-A.
Will Wagner will be here, seeing time at first, second, and possibly third, while Clement can back up short. Addison Barger has had a strong spring and could be a left-handed option off the bench.
Alejandro Kirk, Tyler Heineman
It's always been the Alejandro Kirk show. The competition has always been for the back-up job. Tyler Heineman still has the inside track on that job but both Christian Bethancourt and Ali Sanchez have been impressing.
Anthony Santander, Daulton Varsho, George Springer, Davis Schneider, Nathan Lukes
This is perhaps the most uncertain area for the Blue Jays, and a lot of it has to do with the health of Daulton Varsho. Right now, it looks like he is ahead of schedule, which is great news for Toronto. With him and some combination of George Springer and Anthony Santander on the corners and this could turn into a big strength.
Eventually, Alan Roden will be in this conversation, but for now, the Blue Jays top prospect seems destined for Triple-A. Davis Schneider might get another shot with a strong spring and Nathan Lukes is a good and deserving lefty option who can play all three positions.
