Toronto infielder Ernie Clement hits a ninth-inning home run as the Blue Jays beat the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Clement went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers.
Clement went yard for the third time in four games. His homer came in the ninth inning, just after the Blue Jays' bullpen coughed up a 4-3 lead, and Clement's long ball ended up being the difference in the game.
After the Dodgers tied it in the eighth, Ernie Clement and the Blue Jays snag the lead right back on the first pitch of the ninth!

Ernie Clement remains humble after coming up clutch numerous times this season

Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling caught up with Clement after the game to discuss Mason Fluharty's heroics and his go-ahead home run.
"What a job for Flu. That was special." 🤝

Ernie Clement joins @ArdenZwelling to discuss Mason Fluharty's heroics and his go-ahead home run in the Blue Jays' 5-4 win over the Dodgers.
The infielder has hit .333 (26-for-78) over his last 18 games, and with the recent power uptick, he appears to have shaken off the quiet stretch that defined his early July.
Even with Clements ability to come up clutch in key situations like in Sunday's win versus the Dodgers, he remains humble and gives all the credit to 23-year old left-handed rookie reliever Mason Fluharty.
«Almost impossible, but he got it done,» said Clement. «I don't think anybody's really expecting it, one out, bases loaded and two of the best hitters in the game up. You might as well go right at them and give it everything you've got. So we're pumped for him. It's a cool moment for him. It's just really cool to see him fighting for us.»

Most hits off lefties in MLB this season:
1. Ernie Clement | 48
2. Shohei Ohtani | 47
For the season, Clement is at a .289/.323/.413 slash line with eight homers, 36 RBI, 63 runs scored, three stolen bases, 23 doubles and two triples over 117 contests.
As are the Blue Jays, of course, who moved four games back in front of the Boston Red Sox, 6-2 losers at San Diego, with a challenging homestand beginning Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers.
39-27 against .500 teams, so by and large, they've handled top clubs well, but the Dodgers, at home, before a rowdy crowd of 41,557, offer a test like few others.
