Kevin Gausman may not be scheduled to pitch during the Toronto Blue Jays' three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but that didn't stop him from having his teammates' backs from the dugout.
Gausman was ejected from the game by home plate umpire John Libka after the Dodgers' three-run seventh inning.
Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling reported on the broadcast that Gausman "had some choice words" for Libka, leading to the ejection.

Gausman was sticking up for teammates Louis Varland and Alejandro Kirk before being ejected from the dugout
During the bottom of the seventh, Blue Jays reliever Louis Varland and catcher Alejandro Kirk were visibly frustrated with the strike zone during a Will Smith at-bat.
Smith worked a walk after drawing a full count and the bases loaded with multiple pitches that appeared to be on the edge of the zone.
In the fateful frame, the Dodgers used Smith's walk, a Mookie Betts fielder's choice and a Teoscar Hernández sacrifice fly to grow their lead from one to three.
Kevin Gausman is a goated teammate
Gausman is not scheduled to pitch in this series against the Dodgers, but despite not playing he is clearly paying attention to everything happening on the field.
Despite the boost of energy from Gausman, the Blue Jays still ended up losing game 1 to the Dodgers 5-1.
