Free agent relief market moving quickly as teams address their bullpen needs
Yesterday high-leverage reliever Devin Williams came off the board when he signed a three-year deal with the New York Mets.
The relief pitching market is moving quickly with It's the latest in a string of relief signings that also includes deals for Ryan Helsley, Raisel Iglesias, and Phil Maton.
With three impact closers already off the board and a number of teams (including the Blue Jays) known to be looking for relief help this winter, that can only be good news for the remaining high-leverage relief arms on the market.
So it's understandable why the Blue Jays might want to act before the winter meetings on Monday before the top end relievers get scooped up.
Edwin Diaz remains at the front of the pack, with Robert Suarez, Emilio Pagan, and Kyle Finnegan among the many noteworthy bullpen arms still available on the market.
