The Toronto Blue Jays have put in an offer on free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker.

While a plethora of teams have made offers for Tucker's services, it seems there is only a select few that are willing to go longer on the term.
According to MLB Live, Kyle Tucker has received offers from at-least 4 teams Blue Jays, Mets, Yankees, and Cubs.
Other clubs who have put in offers for Tucker are willing to meet his AVV, but over shorter term deals.
According to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez, agents, execs, managers at this years winter meetings believe the Blue Jays are the only team willing to go to $400 million on Tucker.
In an interview with Sportsnet's Haze Mae, Blue Jays manager John Schneider shares his experience during Tucker's tour of the Player Development Complex in Dunedin.
"We sat upstairs for about an hour, an hour-and-a-half, talked through kind of where the organization is, where the organization is heading, both from a team, roster-building standpoint, from an ownership standpoint, and he talked baseball," said Schneider. "It was pretty cool."

Tucker looking for a long-term contract gives the Blue Jays an edge

ESPN's Jesse Rogers, told the crew on Sportsnet590 that he thinks Tucker is looking for a long-term deal and the Blue Jays have the flexibility to make it work to their advantage.
"I think he's looking for a longer-term deal, and that's why I like the Blue Jays' chances." Jesse Rogers checks in on Kyle Tucker's market with Jeff Blair & Kevin Barker. #BlueJays
If the Blue Jays signed Kyle Tucker to a projected $400M / 10-year deal, their 2026 payroll would jump to $304M (per FanGraphs). That would rank 2nd in MLB, behind only the Dodgers at $359M.
Tucker, most valued for his all-around skillset than any one particular outlier ability, has hit between 22-to-30 home runs and stolen 25-to-30 bases in each of his last three full seasons.
He's also exhibited exceptional control of the strike zone, ranking top-10 in MLB in both on base percentage (.380) and walk rate (13.9 per cent) amongst qualified hitters over the last three seasons.
