The Toronto Blue Jays look to sweep the Miami Marlins in the finale of a three-game set at LoanDepot Park.

With Saturday's 7-6 win the Blue Jays took yet another series, improving to 76-54 on the season (including 8-4 in extra innings) and setting up a possible sweep today, when Kevin Gausman will take the mound opposite Eury Perez.

Blue Jays & Marlins starting pitchers and overview

Blue Jays veteran Kevin Gausman takes the hill verses Marlins starter Eury Perez. First pitch is at 1:40 PM ET on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
In his last outing Gausman allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings while not factoring into the decision in a 5-2 loss at Pittsburgh. He struck out four.
The veteran right-hander limited the damage in this 96-pitch performance, as he allowed just one extra-base hit a Spencer Horwitz double in the third.
Despite a five-run blowup against Kansas City on Aug. 1, Gausman has been a dependable starter since the All-Star break, producing a 2.61 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB across 38 frames. In 147.2 total innings, the 34-year-old has pitched to a 3.78 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 142:42 K:BB while yielding 19 homers.
Eury Perez did not factor into the decision in his last outing, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits and four walks over 4.1 innings against St. Louis. He struck out six.
Perez worked through four scoreless innings before stumbling in the fifth inning, where shaky defense and spotty command kept him from finishing the frame.
Overall, the hard-throwing righty has been solid in his return from Tommy John surgery, logging 64.2 innings across 13 starts with a 3.48 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in 2025.
