Todays lineup most resembles what an opening day lineup might look like so far this spring.
Daulton Varsho gets into his second spring training lineup as DH he continues to rehab his shoulder. Varsho hit a home run on the first pitch he saw in his last outing versus the Detroit Tigers.
1. Bo Bichette 2. Daulton Varsho 3. Vladimir Guerrero Jr 4. Anthony Santander 5. George Springer 6. Andres Giminez 7. Alejandro Kirk 8. Will Wagner 9. Steward Berroa
Bo Bichette leads off in todays lineup in a spot that John Schneider continues to juggle between Andres Gimenez, Will Wagner and the latter.
Anthony Santander will most likely be batting cleanup all season giving Vladimir Guerrero some protection in the lineup.
Its safe to say George Springers days as a lead off hitter are done and looks to be a middle of the lineup hitter until the Blue Jays pick up another bat over the course of this up coming season.
I think the Blue Jays plan was to pick up another middle of the order bat after the acquisition of Santander which never materialized, so Springer is the answer until that happens at some point this season.
Alejandro Kirk has continued where he left off at the end of 2024, red hot on both sides of the ball. With Danny Jansen gone he is it behind the plate and can hit anywhere in this lineup between three and eight.
