Former Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Jake Lamb has decided to call it a career.

Former MLB relief pitcher Archie Bradley revealed that his best friend and former Blue Jay Jake Lamb has officially retired on his Instagram.
In an emotional Instagram post, Bradley reminisced about the good times shared with lamb, from their days in Visalia to their weddings.
«Lambo, From double hot tubing in Visalia, to roommates in the league,» Bradley wrote. «We stood in each other's weddings, and now stand by each other in retirement! My best friend and brother, all-time teammate and the one who always kept things real and in perspective for us!«Congrats on a hell of a career.»
Selected 213th overall in the 2012 draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Seattle-born player spent parts of three seasons in the minor leagues before making his big league debut in 2014.
Lamb only played 37 games, hitting four home runs in 133 plate appearances. The following season, Lamb played 107 games, hitting six home runs in 390 plate appearances.

It wasn't until 2016 that he had an above-average season, hitting 29 home runs in 594 plate appearances in 151 games with the Diamondbacks.
In 2017, Lamb hit a career-high 30 home runs in 635 plate appearances, earning an All-Star Game nod. In 2017, Jake Lamb became RAKE LAMB

Lamb's time in Toronto was a short one. The Blue Jays claimed the third baseman off waivers in early September of 2021, and he slashed .129/.256/.290 with a home run in 39 plate appearances.
Lamb retires with 96 career home runs and a 7.4 WAR. Happy retirement, Jake.
