Erik Swanson and Blue Jays fans respond to Sid Sexeiro's comments online
His latest rant came when he thought that John Schneider left Tyler Heineman out on the mound too long when they were getting blown out by the Kansas City Royals, suggesting that he was being hung out to dry and disrespected.
Tyler Heineman's been an incredible solider for the Jays all season and has earned their trust. To the point where he got the assignment to catch Trey Yesavage's first start instead of Alejandro Kirk.
He didn't deserve to get embarrassed like that last night. Bush league move.
While Erik Swanson's only retort was two question marks, Blue Jays fans had plenty to say about Seixeiro's comments.
Pretty sure this tweet is far more embarrassing
Another fan wrote that Heineman has nothing to be embarrassed about and that he is an asset to the team.
On the contrary, I don't think he was embarrassed at all.
In a blowout, that's what you do to save arms to fight another day.
Tyler's been amazing and this only adds to his greatness with this team.
Another suggested that Seixeiro has a low baseball IQ
This is a low baseball IQ comment.
This fan suggests that Seixeiro is just looking to stir up the pot on a daily basis.
Sid's daily «looking hard for things to be angry about» eh?
There's lots of legit reasons to be concerned about last night; Heineman soaking up some innings throwing batting practice so the bullpen wasn't burned up isn't one of them.
Blue Jays fans flooded Swanson's reply section agreeing with Swanson's opinion as Sexeiro is far from liked these days by fans in Toronto.
He's a breakfast tv host, what do you expect from him?
Erik, don't mind Sid. He is a former sports radio/tv host for a show that had abysmal ratings and was ultimately cancelled. He could see it coming and resigned beforehand. Went to Breakfast TV where the ratings were even worse and was fired. His takes mean absolutely nothing.
Since being released back in June by the Blue Jays, Swanson has not been doing much as he has been surprisingly unable to land himself a new deal over the rest of the 2025 season
