Spring Training is in full swing, and while teams across the league are fine-tuning their rosters, several former members of the Toronto Blue Jays are still searching for work.
One notable name who recently came off that list is Max Scherzer, who signed a one-year, incentive-laden deal after lingering on the market.
However, a handful of other recognizable ex-Toronto Blue Jays remain unsigned with Opening Day just weeks away.
Here's a closer look at who's still available.
It's somewhat surprising that Rowdy Tellez has yet to secure a contract. The former fan favourite is only 30 years old and could still offer value to a club in need of left-handed power.
In 2025, Tellez split time between the Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers, producing respectable numbers.
Over 289 at-bats, he recorded 34 runs, 11 doubles, 17 home runs and 49 RBIs.
More encouraging is his continued success against right-handed pitching. Tellez posted a .753 OPS against righties last season, with all 17 of his home runs coming in those matchups.
For teams seeking a platoon option at first base or designated hitter, Tellez remains a logical and potentially affordable solution.
At 41, Justin Turner may be nearing the end of an accomplished 17-year MLB career.
The veteran infielder endured a difficult 2025 campaign with the Chicago Cubs, serving primarily in a bench role.
Turner finished the year with a .219/.288/.324 slash line and a .602 OPS across 80 games, adding 14 runs, three home runs and 18 RBIs.
While his leadership and experience still carry weight, declining production could make it challenging for him to find another opportunity.
If this is indeed the end, Turner would close the book on a long and decorated run in the majors.
Former Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman also finds himself without a team.
The two-time All-Star once strung together four straight seasons with an ERA under 4.00, but his tenure with the New York Yankees has not gone as planned.
In 2025, Stroman struggled mightily, posting a 6.23 ERA and 1.54 WHIP over 39 innings across nine starts.
He surrendered 27 runs on 44 hits, and the Yankees were reportedly unable to generate trade interest at the deadline.
That lack of demand has extended into the offseason, leaving the 34-year-old right-hander in limbo as teams finalize their rotations.
The Blue Jays had hoped that Chad Green could build off a promising 2024 and anchor the bullpen in 2025.
Instead, the veteran reliever struggled through one of the toughest seasons of his career.
Green finished with a 5.56 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over 43.2 innings, allowing 51 hits - including 14 home runs.
His performance ultimately led to his release shortly after the trade deadline. Now 34, Green has been searching for a new opportunity for several months.
Injuries have significantly altered the trajectory of Kendall Graveman's career.
After missing the entire 2024 season following shoulder surgery, he attempted a comeback in 2025 with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The results, however, were disappointing. Graveman posted a 7.13 ERA and 1.98 WHIP over 19 appearances, walking 12 batters while striking out just nine.
He was designated for assignment and released in August and has struggled to regain traction on the free-agent market.
With Opening Day approaching, time is running short for these former Blue Jays to find new homes.
While some may land minor-league deals or late spring invites, others could be facing difficult decisions about the next chapter of their careers.
