Here's the video you didn't know you needed this holiday season: Canadian kids calling Freddie Freeman a "hoser."
Young Blue Jays fans razz Freeman in video for SickKids fundraiser
In the clip, shared on Reynolds' social channels, Freeman walks into Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children only to be greeted by children and families still smarting from the Jays' playoff exit.
"You ruined everything!» and «Go back to your sunshine and traffic, you hoser!» were among the playful - if pointed - comments to the Dodgers first baseman before chanting, "Let's go Blue Jays!"
So when Freeman, introduced by Reynolds as "the pride of Ontario and Los Angeles" -- walks into the Toronto hospital in the holiday spoof, he, of course, gets booed by the kids.
"Go back to your sunshine and traffic, you hoser!" says one young girl in a Blue Jays cap before all three kids run Freeman out of the room with "Let's go Blue Jays!" chants.
Freeman, who has played for Canada (his parents' birthplace) at the World Baseball Classic , is no stranger to the important work being done at children's hospitals.
Back in August 2024, Freeman revealed that his son Maximus had been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called Guillain-Barre syndrome.
The rare neurological disorder occurs when the body's immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system and causes nerve damage and muscle weakness.
Maximus was able to return home and is expected to make a full recovery. Freeman would donate $1 million to the Children's Hospital of Orange County after witnessing the work being done by doctors and staff.
If you donate to the SickKids Foundation by Dec. 24 at
SickKidsSweaterLove.ca, all donations will be matched up to $1,000,000.
