Sportsnet Blue Jays Central host Jamie Campbell dropped a hint at who may be his guest analyst for the World Series broadcast on social media Thursday.
Welcome old friend! @RanceBlueJay5
Rance hasn't been in the booth since 2012 but, he is a super stud when it comes to knowing what pitch the pitcher is going to throw next, and what the hitter should be looking for so it should be interesting to see how what his takes will be after being away for so long.
Fans immediately responded to show their support to see Mulliniks potentially back as an analyst for the World Series.
Rance was great on the field, and in the booth.
Not enough people talk about Rance Mulliniks
On Wednesday Mulliniks joined X for the first time and posted a congratulations to the Blue Jays for advancing to the World Series, his first social media post.
Congratulations to the Blue Jays for winning the ALCS. Very exciting time for us Jay fans!! I have felt that if the Jays won the ALCS that they will win the World Series. The Dodgers are a great team, but I just have that gut feeling.
Mulliniks joining X (formerly known as twitter) on Tuesday and posting for the first time the next day is a a tell tale sign that something was up for the 69-year old.
Now this could be Campbell just welcoming Mulliniks to X but it feels like something for than that.
We will have to wait and see how it plays out, but hopefully it amounts to more than just a welcome to social media.
