Blue Jays Central host Jamie Campbell eviscerates New York Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay on national tv after disparaging the Blue Jays with his "Toronto Blue Jays aren't a first place team" comments.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Toronto Blue Jays were on the cusp of a first-place tie with the New York Yankees in the American League East, trailing by just one game. Yankees TV voice, Michael Kay, however, went on his ESPN New York Radio show and dismissed the idea of the Blue Jays being a first-place team.
«The Blue Jays are not a first-place team, I'm sorry,» Kay said definitively. «If you look at the run differential, the Yankees' run differential is +105. The Blue Jays, after a 12-5 win, finally got in the positive yesterday, they're +4. Do you realize, they should be a .500 team because of a +4 run differential? And the Yankees should have at least four or five more wins with a +105-run differential. They're not playing great baseball. I'm sorry, they're not.»

The following evening the Blue Jays beat the Yankees 8-5 sweeping them for the first time at home in club history, and in the process took over sole possession of first place in the American League East.
Jamie Campbell certainly did not forget about Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay's "the Toronto Blue Jays aren't a first place team" comments from the night before.
"I can think of a certain Yankee broadcaster, in fact, who is gonna have to go on his show tomorrow and admit that the Blue Jays are a first-place team, because the standings prove it." - Sportsnet's Jamie Campbell ⚾️💀🎙️ #MLB
I personally can't wait to see what the Yankees broadcaster has to say about Campbells comments on the next broadcast.
Maybe just maybe he should keep quiet while he is still behind.
