Toronto Blue Jays centerfielder Daulton Varsho is on the mend and could be back sooner than first thought.

The Blue Jays are enjoying this unexpected view near the top of the AL East, knowing that better times await if they are able to sustain these good vibes.
Following Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, the Jays are on a 10-2 in their past dozen games.
Their ascent has taken them six games above .500 (35-29) for the first time this season and finds them in sole possession of second place in the division and, for one day at least, the No. 1 wild-card slot in the American League.
The team's resurgence is largely attributed to a revitalized offense, with key contributions from players like George Springer and Addison Barger, who both homered in the recent game.
Amid this successful run, the Blue Jays have been managing without key outfielder Daulton Varsho, who was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a Grade 1 left hamstring strain.
Varsho sustained the injury while attempting to stretch a hit into a triple during a game against the Athletics.
Despite this setback, there is positive news: Varsho has begun baseball activities at the team's complex in Dunedin, Florida.
Daulton Varsho (hamstring) began baseball activity at Blue Jays complex in Dunedin, Fla. on Friday. Varsho is hitting in the batting cages and playing catch. He hasn't resumed running yet.
While there is no definitive timeline for Varsho's return, his progress is encouraging.
His return would bolster the Blue Jays' lineup, as he is tied with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. with eight home runs, despite playing in only 24 of the team's 58 games this season.
George Springer currently leads the team in home runs with ten. Springer has hit 5 homeruns in his last 9 games
As Toronto continues its push in the standings, getting Varsho back to full strength could be a significant boost for the team's aspirations.
