Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander (shoulder) has not been cleared to swing the bat yet, as per the team's manager John Schneider.

According to MLB.com's Keegan Matheson Santander has been throwing the baseball, but hasn't progressed to hitting yet.
The 30-year-old has been sidelined since late May due to left shoulder inflammation.
At the time, he was slashing just .179/.273/.304 with six home runs and a .577 OPS.
Update on Anthony Santander: He's actually not hitting yet, only throwing, which he's starting this week. No timeline for him to start hitting yet, so this is clearly still going to take some time.
He did receive a PRP injection in June, but it hasn't helped him too much. Once Santander has begun hitting, he'll likely need to go on a minor league rehab assignment. There is currently no timetable for his return to the field.
Sportsnet's Hazel Mae reported the same thing while giving a and update on Santander's teammate Daulton Varsho.
Anthony Santander is still in FLA and is starting to throw - not hitting quite yet.
Daulton Varsho is still in FLA and continuing his normal hitting, throwing & running. Within the next wk Varsho will be running bases, then if all goes well, rehab games according to Schneider.
A full recovery and return to top form would inject a needed power presence into the lineup and offer Toronto another veteran bat for the playoff push.
In the meantime, the Blue Jays are tied for second in the AL East with the Tampa Bay Rays (38-32), and will try to keep their momentum alive in Santander's absence.
