The former Rangers reliever is still on the market as opening day inches closer.
Through 16 seasons and 861 career games, Robertson is 66-46 with a 2.91 ERA and 177 saves.
He could work in a number of the capacity for the Blue Jays, either covering Swanson's high-leverage late innings or work in middle relief, further making the bullpen stronger as a bridge to closer Jeff Hoffman.
This is not the first time Robertson has been linked to the Blue Jays.
While the rumblings have been a whisper this year, they were much stronger back in 2017 the Blue Jays were reportedly engaged in trade talks with the Chicago Cubs to bring Robertson north of the border.
No trade ever materalized and it is unclear how serious any talks even were.
At 39, Robertson doesn't exactly fit the Blue Jays desire to get younger. However, he is the perfect pitcher to take a one-year flyer on and could provide immense value in a variety of roles.
At this point, it doesn't appear that the Blue Jays and Robertson have had any discussions about the 2011 All-Star joining the team.
