MLB Insider Jon Morosi gives his take on the potential signing of Kyle Tucker or Bo Bichette by the Toronto Blue Jays.

MLB Network's Jon Morosi breaks down Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette's free agent market and their compatibility in the Blue Jays current lineup.
"Where will Kyle Tucker go? The Dodgers with interest, the Giants with interest, and yes the Blue Jays with interest. I actually look at it as an either-or situation in Toronto, Kyle Tucker or Bo Bichette", says Morosi
Here's why: If you sign Tucker, Tucker moves into right field which certainly does complicate what Springer's role is exactly, Santander's role and more importantly Addison Barger's role. He is an everyday player. So if you sign Tucker, Barger to third, Clement to second, Gimenez is your shortstop, and there is not really any room for Bo at that point. So I look at it as being an either-or situation, and we saw certainly the way Gimenez played shortstop very well for the Jays in the postseason. To me the overriding question is, ya Tucker or Bichette help you if you're the Jays, but Addison Barger is part of the future. I would not interrupt his number of at bats too much because how important Barger is."

Tucker has a lot to offer overall, however, Bichette offers better compatibility with the existing Blue Jays starting Lineup

Kyle Tucker's last 160 games. .290/.402/.537, 40 HR, 31 SB, 169 wRC+, 15.5 BB%, 15 K%, 8 DRS, 8 fWAR
Bichette is first in batting in career average since his debut with the Blue Jays, he finishes second, third and fourth in every other category to only Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Bo Bichette Blue Jays ranks since 2019 (min. 500 GP):

1st in AVG (.294)
2nd in H (904)
2nd in 2B (190)
2nd in RBI (437)
2nd in R (438)
2nd in PA (3,292)
2nd in SB (60)
2nd in OPS (.806)
2nd in fWAR (20.0)
3rd in HR (111)
3rd in SLG (.469)
3rd in wRC+ (122)
4th in OBP (.337)
