Blue Jays manager John Schneider rolled out 8 pitchers out of bullpen based on matchups with precision in game 4.

First it was Louis Varland, then Mason Fluharty, Seranthony Dominguez, Eric Lauer, Yariel Rodriguez, Brendon Little, Braydon Fisher and finally Jeff Hoffman.

Schneider announced earlier today that Kevin Gausman and Trey Yesavage were available out of the bullpen if needed. However the Blue Jays bullpen was lights out holding the Yankees to just 2 runs in game 4.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr got the Jays on the board first with an RBI single into right field scoring George Springer.

Nathan Lukes, Addison Barger & Ernie Clement have all delivered in key spots for Blue Jays tonight.

Toronto entered this series as the deeper team, and that depth, along with Vlad Jr, and George Springer is the reason why the Blue Jays won the ALDS against the Yankees.

Myles Straw came into the game as a defensive replacement in the 8th inning and drove in Alejandro Kirk for his first career postseason RBI to make it 5-1 Blue Jays.

Jeff Hoffman closed it out in the 9th to send the Blue Jays to the ALCS!

The Toronto Blue Jays will face the winner of the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners who play friday night at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
