While the Toronto Blue Jays have been relatively successful at keeping players healthy at the big league level, the same cannot be said for their minor league affiliates. Nowhere is this more evident then with the Florida Complex League Blue Jays, the organization's Rookie Ball Team.

The FCL Blue Jays just put five players on the injured list.
Pitchers Logan Hewitt, Ramon Suarez, and Holden Wilkerson, outfielder David Guzman, and shortstop Gavin Smith were all put on the 7-Day IL on Saturday.
While the severity of the injuries isn't known, it continues a worrying trend for the Blue Jays at the lower levels of the minor leagues.
Throughout all levels of the organization, the Blue Jays have eight pitchers recovering from Tommy John Surgery, several others dealing with various shoulder, elbow, and arm injuries, and several prospects with scrapes, bruises, spasms, and general aches and pains that come with being a professional baseball player.
It's not all bad news though. Number eight prospect, RHP Landen Maroudis, just began a rehab assignment with FCL and should be able to re-join Dunedin soon enough.
Dunedin is also playing host to top catching prospect Phil Clarke and RHP Justin Kelley, both just finishing off rehab assignments. In light of that, the Bisons just Clarke on the development list as a way to monitor his progress.
The Blue Jays took steps this offseason to address some of their long-standing condition issues, but the recent addition of five to the IL leaves room for concern, and wonder.
Hopefully the injuries are temporary and the rookies will be back to full health in due time.
