The Blue Jays most recent 1st Round pick Jojo Parker has finally made first appearance at Rogers Centre

The 19-year-old, who was drafted 8th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays back in July, stopped by before Friday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
The Blue Jays official Instagram shows Parker stepping up in the batting cage, taking grounders and throwing to first and meeting with many of the current players and coaches.

Parker was drafted out of Purvis High School in Purvis, Mississippi and ultimately signed with the Blue Jays for a $6.2MM signing bonus.
Although was drafted as a shortstop, it will be interesting to watch his development and whether Toronto keeps him at the position or chooses to try him somewhere, such as third base.

Drafting of Parker continues long tradition for Blue Jays

The Blue Jays have a long history of choosing short stops in the upper rounds of the draft.
In 2023, Arjun Nimmala was selected with the 20th overall pick. 2020 saw the Blue Jays grab Austin Martin, while Logan Warmoth and Jordan Groshans were selected in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Parker has a twin brother Jacob who was drafted in the 19th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks
