Toronto Blue Jays have a plethora of top propects playing for the Vancouver Canadians. Here is one you've probably never heard of.
Adrian Pinto has emerged as one of the top performers at the plate in the Toronto Blue Jays' farm system this season.
This season, Pinto began with the High-A Vancouver Canadians and quickly built on last year's momentum.
Blue Jays' top prospect receives terrible news with the minor league Vancouver Canadians.
Ryley Delaney from Blue Jays Nation writes that in just 85 plate appearances, he has hit seven home runs and three triples, earning am impressive 165 wRC+. His seven homers currently tie him for second in the Blue Jays' system, just one behind Arjun Nimmala.
"Pinto signed with the Colorado Rockies for $120,000 during the 2019 free agency period, making his debut in 2021. With Colorado's Dominican Summer League team, Pinto slashed .360/.486/.543 with three home runs in 224 plate appearances, walking (17%) more than he struck out (8%) and stealing 41 bases in 49 attempts." -Delaney
Unfortunately, Pinto was placed on the Injured List once again, with the Vancouver Canadians making the move on May 16. Hopefully, it will be a brief absence similar to the end of last season, as the second baseman and centre fielder has certainly made a name for himself with his performance this year with the Canadians.
