The Toronto Blue Jays have announced their moves for September roster expansions.

Blue Jays announce their moves for September roster expansions:

- Isiah Kiner-Falefa, claimed off waivers yesterday, has joined the team in Cincinnati
- Dillon Tate selected as the 14th pitcher
- Nick Sandlin moved to the 60-day IL to make room for Tate on the 40-man
Isiah Kiner-Falefa active for today's game. Dillon Tate selected by Blue Jays to the big-league roster and will also be active. Nick Sandlin goes to the 60-day IL to create 40-man space.
Just caught up with IKF in Jays clubhouse. To say he's excited to be back & ready to contribute would be an understatement. In fact, IKF told
@DannySpxp, @ArdenZwelling & me that he's offered Jays to don catching gear again so he's ready if needed. «It's the least I could do»
Notably, Trey Yesavage (and any other player not on the 40-man as of 11:59pm last night) are now not eligible for the postseason roster.

The #BlueJays can still 'petition to the Commissioner's Office' for a non-40 guy to replace an injured player in postseason, but not as easy
I'll clarify this, as a few questions arose: Players currently not on Toronto's 40-man could still easily join the Jays' playoff roster with the CO petition - that's how Jobe made the Tigers' roster last year.

But being on the 40-man on Aug 31 creates direct eligibility.
