The emergence of rookie reliever Braydon Fisher has already made this trade a complete win for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays traded Cavan Biggio to the Dodgers in June of 2024 in exchange for pitching prospect Braydon Fisher.
When Biggio made his debut for the Blue Jays in 2019, he was looked at potentially being another key piece of that core for the Toronto's window of contention.
While Biggio was a part of two post-season runs for the Blue Jays, he was never able to capitalize on his promising rookie season.
At the time of the deal, Biggio was struggling, and those struggles continued when he got to LA.
That started a year long game of musical chairs for the former Blue Jay who was just recently released by the Royals, and signed a minor league deal with the Angels.

Fisher paid immediate dividends for the Blue Jays in 2025

Fisher made his MLB debut in May and immediately became one of Toronto's most reliable relievers.
He held opponents to a .181 batting average while posting a 2.70 ERA across 50 innings, according to his official stats page.
The performance earned him a fourth-place vote for AL Rookie of the Year, where he finished 10th overall.
Before we say goodbye to 2025 we must thank it for blessing us with rookie year Braydon Fisher.
Fisher might not post a 2.70 ERA again, but the Blue Jays don't need him to. Toronto is building around young pitching talent, with rookie sensation Trey Yesavage anchoring the rotation alongside veterans like Cease and Gausman.
The Cavan Biggio trade for Braydon Fisher is quickly becoming one of the better under-the-radar returns for General Manager Ross Atkins and the Blue Jays.
