The Toronto Blue Jays have been busy this season with international free agent signings, and they just acquired another outfielder as Fabian Gonzales agreed to a deal with the team.
The Blue Jays sign outfielder Fabian Gonzalez
The Toronto Blue Jays announced on their transactions list that they have signed outfielder Fabian Gonzalez to a minor league deal.
There is not a lot known regarding Gonzalez apart from that he is 17 years old, he stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds.
However, the Blue Jays did announce that they have assigned Gonzalez to the Dominican Summer League Blue Jays Red to begin his professional career within the organization.
Despite missing out on Roki Sasaki this off-season, the Blue Jays have been doing a lot with the international pool money that the Guardians gave them to take on Myles Straw's contract.
On top of that, Straw has been incredible for the Blue Jays which is why they clearly came out on top in that deal.
Should be interesting to see if any of these international free agents pan out going forward.
