So much of the focus on the Toronto Blue Jays' farm system has been on the pitching. But in a sea of arms, there is one bat poised to breakout: Sean Keys.
In spite of his major league debut, Trey Yesavage is still the Blue Jays topped ranked prospect. Ricky Tiedemann, Johnny King, and Gage Stanifer, are numbers four, five, and six respectively.
Keys, a 22 year old corner infielder, might just have the best bat of them all.

His profile is supported by an exceptional eye, average contact rates, and both the power (104.8 MPH 90th% EV) and swing to deposit pulled fly balls for HR

A 4th round pick in the 2024 draft, Keys is mostly known as a third baseman, though has seen some time across the diamond as well.
While he is still projected to be a couple of years away from the big leagues, he showed promise i9n 2025 by belting 19 home runs for double-A Dunedin to go along with 72 RBIs.
His minor league scouting report describes him as having 'easy power', and is molded in a similar vein to former spring training sluggers Spencer Horwitz and Alan Roden. While his defence still needs work, he has the most natural power of the three.
Surface stats could use a boost
An analytics darling coming out of the Draft, he is big and barrel-chested, producing pop without needing a max-effort swing. Keys has an excellent approach at the plate and could keep a walk total close to his strikeouts. Whether Keys' raw power shows up in games consistently will be a deciding factor on his long-term ceiling, but either way, his profile is heavily tied to his bat.
While Keys is an analytics darling, his surface stats could a bump up. Although he has raw power, his 2025 slash line was just .217/.365./.408. If he can add between 30-50 points to each of those, he will be in good shape going forward.
