The Toronto Blue Jays made a flurry of roster moves ahead of game two versus the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday afternoon.

The injury problems are not easing up for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Outfielder Nathan Lukes was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday morning with a left hamstring strain.
ROSTER MOVES:

🔹 OF Yohendrick Piñango has been selected to the Major League roster and will be active for today’s game

🔹 OF Nathan Lukes placed on 10-day IL (left hamstring strain)

Lukes suffered the injury in the first inning of Friday’s loss to the visiting Cleveland Guardians while running to second base after hitting a double.
The 31-year-old struggled at the plate during the early portion of this season as he dealt with bouts of vertigo, but had recently turned his play around with 11 hits in his past seven games.
On the season, Lukes is hitting .250 with eight RBIs alongside a .613 OPS over 20 games.
The left-handed hitter had a career season in 2025, hitting .255 with 12 home runs and 65 RBIs over 135 games, helping the Jays win the American League East and advance to the World Series.
In a corresponding move, outfielder Yohendick Pinango was selected to the Major League roster and will be active for Saturday’s game against Cleveland.
The 23-year-old native of Venezuela is the Blue Jays’ No. 10 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and is off to a strong start this year at Triple-A Buffalo, hitting .288 with three home runs and 13 RBIs in 22 games.
Lukes joins a slew of injured players, including designated hitter George Springer (toe), outfielder Addison Barger (ankles), catcher Alejandro Kirk (thumb), outfielder Anthony Santander (shoulder) as well as pitchers Jose Berrios (elbow), Trey Yesavage (shoulder), Shane Bieber (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow).
Yimi Garcia was also transferred to the 60-day injured list on Saturday to make room on the 40-man roster.
The Blue Jays have lost two straight games and sit fourth in the AL East with a 10-15 record heading into Saturday’s action at Rogers Centre.
