Toronto Blue Jays proving they can win big games without key members of their lineup

No matter the situation, it feels like the Toronto Blue Jays can win anything.
After surviving both the American League Division Series and the American Leaugue Championship Series without the strength of Bo Bichette, the Blue Jays are now winning without the services of George Springer.
The cheering as George Springer exits with an injury is not cool at all.
Toronto's lead-off man and designated hitter has missed the last two games after his removal from Game 3 following an injury in which he appeared to grab his side after a swing.
Springer, who has battled injuries each of the last few season, and even missed some time in 2025 with concussion symptoms, has been a stalwart atop the Blue Jays lineup for years; his home run in Game 7 sent the team to their first world series in three decades.
The Blue Jays have continued to do what they always however, find ways to win.
In Game 4, Nathan Lukes - who is having a fine postseason of his own - took Springer's place atop Toronto's lineup and went 2-3 with a run scored to increase his playoff average to .309.
Wednesday, it was Davis Schneider's turn. The Pink Pony Club-loving outfielder promptly hit the first pitch of the game over the wall in left centre to give the Blue Jays an early 1-0 lead.
This is who the Blue Jays are. This is their identity.
Travel day provides hope for George Springer return
With an off-day on Thursday, there is hope that Springer returns to the lineup for Game 6 back on Canadian soil.
While the fans would love to see a Springer Dinger in the potential final game, the Blue Jays have already proven that even without Gorgeous George, they are still the team to beat.
