The Blue Jays added a boatload of prospects on Thursday.

It was the first day of the new international free agent signing period for 2026 and like most teams, the Blue Jays went all in on the action.
We have 350+ players on our international signings tracker 🔥

While the three most notable names - catcher Juan Caricote, and outfielders Michael Mesa and Aneudy Severino - have already been discussed, they were far from the only ones joining the organization.
All told, including those three, the Blue Jays added 22 new players.
On top of the aforementioned trio, Baseball America lists seven more.
They are shortstops Sebastian Casanova, Gabriel Porras, Alexander Linares, and Yariel Cordero; catchers Ayberson Ortega and Samuel Orellana, and right-handed pitcher Manuel Parra.
All of the listed players come from either the Dominican Republic or Venezuela.
While these were the only the prospects listed by Baseball America, the Blue Jays transaction page tells a different story, adding an additional 12 names.
The new page is rife with outfielders, shortstops, and pitchers.
Players the Blue Jays signed include: shortstops Freilan Flores, Eiker Lothar, and Ruben Sanchez; outfielders Luis Nunez and Deret Gonzalez; catcher Jose Gori; and pitchers Sahir De La Cruz, Fayon Dumorne, Evington Gascon, Franiel Severino, Abraham Diaz, and Adrian Moreta.

Blue Jays follow 2025 script

All told the Blue Jays added seven shortstops, seven pitchers, four outfielders, and four catchers.
It's a similar script to the one they followed in 2025, prioritizing key defensive positions and high-impact pitching.
More signings are expected on day two.
