Toronto Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr to receive prestigious Tip O'Neil award today
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to be presented with Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's Tip O'Neill Award on May 30.
According Sportsnet's Hazel Mae the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame will be presenting the award to Guerrero in a pre-game ceremony at Rogers Centre.
This is the second time
Guerrero Jr has won the award as he won it back in 2021 as well.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be presented with the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame 2024 Tip O'Neill Award (Cdn player to have excelled in individual achievement) prior to tonight's game v. Athletics. 2nd time he's received the honour.
Other candidates: Josh Naylor, Cade Smith, Tyler O'Neill
Guerrero ended edged out Josh Naylor, Cade Smith and Tyler O'Neill for the award with 30 home runs, 103 RBI, .323 batting average and .940 OPS which was the best season of his career since 2021.
Hopefully Guerrero can end up topping that at the end of this season however he currently sits at 8 homeruns and 25 RBIs, it will certainly not be easy.
