The Toronto Blue Jays are pulling out all the stops for a young fan's last wish.

Weslee Johnson is a 17-year old from St. Thomas, Ontario. Like a typical teenager, he loves sports, especially his beloved Toronto Blue Jays.
But he was also born with a congenital heart disease called hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which causes the left ventricle to be under developed.
Initially on the wait list for a transplant, his other organs have started to shut down, burnt out from the broken heart.
Thus Weslee and his parents don't know how long he has left, but doctors say its a matter of weeks.

Mother hopes son's story will inspire others

One thing Weslee decided to do was have a living celebration of life, as he wanted friends and relatives to say things to him before he passes.
While many loved ones were there, he also received a surprise message from one of his favourite players - Davis Schneider
What’s up Wes? Davis Schneider here of the Blue Jays. I’ve heard you’re big Jays fan, so I just want to say thank you for all the support and I’m hoping you have a good time at your party with your friends and family.

Weslee hopes to meet Schneider and the rest of team in a couple weeks down in Dunedin.
A recent fundraiser brought in over $16 000 to help Weslee fulfill his dying wish.
For his part, Davis Schneider is also looking forward to the meeting.
I hear you are coming down here in a couple weeks and I look forward to meeting you
.
While she knows her son's time his short, Jennah Johnson hopes that Weslee's story will inspire others and encourage people to sign up as organ donors.
“These conversations have to happen. They’re uncomfortable, but we need more organs, period. People need to donate more, and it needs to be talked about more.'

Our heart goes to the family.
