Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer just wants to play ball and put questions of health concerns on ice.

Prior to the Game 6 win over the Mariners, Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced that George Springer was in good spirits after his X-rays -- CT scan came back negative -- and would be in the lineup.
"It was going to take a whole lot more, I think, to keep him out of the lineup," said Schneider in the pre-game news conference. "I was checking in with him via text. He basically told me to shut up. Did the same thing when he got in today."

John Schneider said he checked in on Springer multiple times over the last couple of days.

Reporters question George Springer's health in awkward postgame interview

In a postgame interview after the Blue Jays beat the Mariners 6-2 in Game 6 of the ALCS, reporters voiced their concerns [video below] on Springer's health going forward.
Reporters: "You [Springer] look like you were hurting a bit out there, did it impact you at all at the plate"?
A visibly uncomfortable Springer replied with a smile, " I'm in there so I'm good, that's all that matters."
On looking hurt at the plate Springer stated: "It's just from the wear and tear of the game. If I can walk I can go, I'm going to give it my best."
Ernie Clement has been playing hurt for the last half of the regular season and well into the playoffs, but nobody has been questioning his toughness or his at-bats.
Clement stood up for his teammate in an interview with Jon Morosi saying that, "He's a grinder and we love him. I'm sure it wasn't comfortable out there for him, we love him to death."
"He's a grinder and we love him."

Ernie Clement caught up with @jonmorosi to discuss George Springer's toughness, the atmosphere in Toronto and more after Game 6!
After Springer's answers and body language made it blatantly obvious how he feels about the media's concerns on his health and performance, hopefully they'll read the room and move on to better questions after game 7.
