Blue Jays insider Keegan Matheson debuts new show on MLB Network

Keegan Matheson, long-time Blue Jays insider for MLB.com is also feeling the love. He was recently announced as a co-host and contributor to MLB Tonight: The Insiders, a new show that recently premiered on the MLB Network.

The show, which is hosted by MLB Network personality Matt Vasgersian and features contributors Joel Sherman, Anthony Castrovince, and Jesse Rogers alongside Matheson, had its first episode on Friday.

It's a culmination of Matheson's slow crawl into television. In addition to frequently being asked for his opinions and Blue Jays expertise on the MLB Network, Matheson had also been appearing semi-regularly on TSN, especially during the Blue Jays post-season run.

Matheson's first appearance on The Insiders featured stories on Bo Bichette, as well as his thoughts on Chris Bassitt, John Schneider, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and the year ahead.

Matheson, who also released his first book in June, is widely respected around the league for his commentary and and analyst. His ascension to The Insiders is part of a growing of Canadians and Blue Jays-centric commentators seeing more airtime.
