The Toronto Blue Jays were without one of their hottest hitters in as they snapped their two-game skid.
Right fielder
Addison Barger was scratched from the team's lineup Saturday as he deals with right hip discomfort, the Blue Jays announced before their game against the Chicago White Sox.
It's not clear when or how Barger suffered the injury, as he played through the entirety of Friday's series opener against the White Sox. He went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in the 7-1 loss.
However when Blue Jays manager John Schneider met with the media in the post game presser all everyone wanted to know is how was Addison Barger doing.

The first one on it was MLB.com's Keegan Matheson.
John Schneider on whether Addison Barger will play tomorrow:
"He's still young, hulking, built like me and Keegs. He's still a strapping young lad. If he feels good, we can get him in there tomorrow."
You could almost feel a collective sigh of relief in the room as the positive news was announced on Barger. nothing definitive but positive.
Barger has been a huge addition to Toronto's lineup since getting called up from triple-A Buffalo earlier this season.
Since May 1, the 25-year-old is hitting .286 with a .889 OPS and eight home runs. His eight homers this year have already eclipsed the mark he set in his rookie season in 2024.
Replacing Barger in the lineup and in right field was Nathan Lukes, who lined up in left field in Friday's loss.
The 30-year-old outfielder is batting .266 with a .744 OPS and four home runs this season.
