To say Toronto Blue Jays left-handed reliever Brendon Little is not having a good start to his 2026 season would be a massive understatement.
Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Brendon Little's 2026 debut on March 28 against the Athletics was difficult; he surrendered three earned runs, including a grand slam, in 0.2 innings.
Tonight it got worse against the Colorado Rockies, having allowed four runs on four hits through 0.2 innings.
Boos coming down on Brendon Little now after back-to-back singles and a four-pitch walk. Very rarely get real boos here, but those were close. #BlueJays
In two games (1.1 IP) Little's ERA is 47.25 with a 6.00 WHIP.
Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reported that John Schneider indicated earlier in the week that Little may be tipping his pitches.
One note from the wknd. Blue Jays wondered if Brendon Little was tipping pitches. They also wanted more four-seamers (which he worked on in spring). John Schneider also said Little: "got away from what he was doing in spring" ... "just didn't use his pitches correctly"
Little booed off the field, Blue Jays fans vent their frustrations online
This fan suggests it might be time time for the Blue Jays to move on from Little.
This was an insane pitch for Langeliers to knock out of the park for the Grand Slam. There's also a reason Brendon Little was left in the pen until the 18th inning of a World Series game. Awful start to his season. Might be time for a change. #BlueJays50
Another fan proclaims that the bottom has fallen out in regards to Little's fanbase in Toronto.
Brendon Little's PR in the city of Toronto right now is lower than whatever comes after Hell
This fan notes that Blue Jays catcher Tyler Heineman has a better ERA than Little so far in 2026 (He's not wrong)
Tyler Heineman has a better Era than Brendon Little
There were many fans that just want him off the team. (Too many here too list)
Dear Blue Jays please never let Brendon Little throw another pitch for this team. Signed every #Jays fan in the world!
This fan suggest that others shouldn't overreact with their knee-jerk reactions after only two appearances for Little so far this year.
I’m probably in the minority on this one but I wouldn’t cut bait on Brendon Little. Making a roster move after two appearances feels like an overreaction. And again, I totally understand that’s probably an unpopular opinion. #BlueJays50
Originally a first-round pick (27th overall) by the Chicago Cubs in 2017, Little was traded to Toronto in November 2023.
