The Toronto Blue Jays look to avoid getting swept by the Milwaukee Brewers this afternoon in the finale of a three-game set at Rogers Centre.

Blue Jays veteran Max Scherzer takes the hill versus Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff. First pitch is at 1:35 PM ET on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
Toronto has a 44-24 record at home and a 78-58 record overall. The Blue Jays have the seventh-best team slugging percentage in the majors at .429.

Scherzer (5-2) earned the win against in his last outing against Minnesota, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over six innings with five strikeouts.
The grizzled veteran snapped a streak of five consecutive quality starts but managed to secure his 221st career victory.
Outside a pair of homers conceded to Matt Wallner, Scherzer was in control of this game, allowing just three additional baserunners and generating 13 whiffs out of 97 total pitches.
The 41-year-old has rounded into a dependable fantasy option once again this season, pitching to a 3.82 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 61:16 K:BB across 66 total frames.
Brandon Woodruff (5-1) gets the ball for the Brewers on Sunday. In his last outing he earned the win against Arizona, giving up five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out eight over 5.2 innings.
Woodruff was dominant through the first five frames, allowing just one hit, before everything unraveled in the sixth.
The right-hander surrendered five runs in the inning, including a three-run homer to Lourdes Gurriel, and was unable to complete the frame.
Despite the rough finish, the 32-year-old still came away with the victory and now owns a 3.10 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB across 49.1 innings this season.
