In Clement's case, he became the first player to have 30 hits in a single post-season, surpassing
Randy Arozarena's previous record of 29. With his first inning single on Saturday night, he also had 13 game post-season hit streak, which broke the Franchise record previously set by
Pat BordersThe overall playoff streak is 16 games, set by
Ketel Marte in 2023.
Overall, Clement hit .411/.419/.978, with one home run, nine RBIs and one stolen base.

Varland, on the other hand, set the record for most pitching appearances in a postseason with 15.
The demon from Minnesota with the rubber arm was seemingly available for virtually every game and become of manager John Schneider's most trusted arms out of the bullpen.
ANOTHER RECORD 🚨 Louis Varland has officially made the most appearances in a single postseason in MLB history!
Varland broke the record previously shared by former Blue Jay
Brandon Morrow, who did it while playing for the Dodgers in 2017, and
Paul Assenmacher, who achieved the feat for Cleveland back in 1997.
For the 2025 postseason, Varland was 0-1 with a 3.94 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 16 IPs. He also started the legendary Game 4 bullpen day against the
New York Yankees Game 7 of the World Series was record-breaking
In addition to Clement and Varland, many other records were set during the 2025 Fall Classic, either for individual performance or for the series as a whole.
And while the Blue Jays ultimately came up short, Ernie Clement likely never has to buy a beer in the city of Toronto ever again.
