The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the market for another outfielder; they may also be looking to trade one of their current ones.
Baseball insider Ken Rosenthal has reported that two-time All-Star and former Toronto Blue Jays fan favourite Teoscar Hernandez's name has popped up in the Dodgers most recent round of front office discussion.
#MLBTonight reacts to Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández reportedly coming up in trade talks.
That doesn't mean a trade is imminent, or even likely.
While Teo is still owed a respectable $33M over the next two seasons - a paltry amount compared to some of his teammates - he is also coming off a down year at the plate.
Hernandez has always been a bat-first outfielder with below average metrics. However, in 2025 his offensive numbers took a step back, including his OBP, which flatlined at an ugly .284 mark.
However he is also walking and striking out less.
While the Dodgers don't necessarily need to trade Hernandez, doing so might them more flexible, especially if they go all in on Kyle Tucker
And while has experience at all three outfield positions as well as designated hitter, he is also considered less versatile than teammates Andy Pages, Miguel Rojas, and Mookie Betts.
Dodgers looking at Steven Kwan, Jarren Duran
If Los Angeles does up parting ways with the 33 year old, they could easily replace him with somebody like Steven Kwan, whom they've shown interest in the past, or Jarren Duran, whom the Red Sox are said to be shopping.
It is unknown if the Dodgers have received any offers.
