According to MLB insider Bob Nightengale former Toronto Blue Jays All-Star Aaron Sanchez is making a comeback.

Former All Star pitcher Aaron Sanchez, with a new sports agency (Smooth Baseball), is making a comeback after last pitching in the big leagues in 2022. He pitched last season for Triple-A Buffalo.
Sanchez last pitched in the majors in 2022. He did throw in the 2024 season for Triple-A Buffalo.
Now 33 years old, Sanchez was once a first-round pick by the Blue Jays, way back in 2010.
He was an All Star in 2016, a season he went 15-2 and led the American League with a 3.00 ERA. he struck out 161 batters in 192 innings that season.
Sanchez was never close to that good again.
His career took on a journeyman vibe, going to Houston, then San Francisco, then Washington, then Minnesota.
Sanchez split time as a starter and reliver in his last MLB stint for the Twins in 2022.
In 2023, Sanchez spent time in Triple-A for both St. Paul and Reno. And he returned to that level in 2024 at Buffalo.
Sanchez's ERA with Buffalo was a ghastly 7.92.
The right-hander has yet to pitch yet in 2025. It's not clear from Nightengale's news how stretched out and in shape Sanchez is. Maybe his hope is to look solid down the stretch in the minors in the hopes of securing a spring training invite for somewhere next season.
But if recent history is any indication, it may be tough for Sanchez to get back to the big leagues.
