Griffin Conine has a torn left hamstring and will likely require surgery.

Miami Marlins outfielder Griffin Conine is dealing with a torn left hamstring and is expected to undergo surgery, according to a report by Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Conine has left hamstring tear and likely needs surgery
The team has not yet shared a detailed recovery timeline, but the injury is serious enough that Conine is likely to be sidelined for an extended period.
He has already been placed on the 10-day injured list.
This is a tough setback for Conine, who was hoping to build momentum after a 2025 season disrupted by injury.
Last year, he suffered a dislocated shoulder on April 19 that ultimately required surgery.
Although the procedure was initially thought to end his season, he managed to return in late September and appeared in four games before the year concluded.
Now, almost exactly a year later, Conine is once again facing a lengthy recovery and the possibility of another surgery.

In Conine's absence, the Marlins will need to adjust their outfield rotation.

The team has been using a platoon of Owen Caissie and Austin Slater in right field, Jakob Marsee in center, and a left-field platoon that included Conine and Heriberto Hernández.
For now, Conine’s focus will be on recovery.
Depending on whether he undergoes surgery and how long he’s expected to be out, he could eventually be transferred to the 60-day injured list if the Marlins need to clear space on the 40-man roster.
Conine comes from a notable baseball lineage. He is the son of Jeff Conine, known as “Mr. Marlin,” a two-time All-Star who won World Series titles with the franchise in 1997 and 2003.
Originally selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 2018 draft, Griffin Conine was later traded to Miami as the player to be named later in a deal that sent infielder Jonathan Villar to Toronto.
