Toronto Blue Jays at Philadelphia Phillies

The Toronto Blue Jays fell 4-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies in a Monday afternoon game in Clearwater.

With the loss, the Blue Jays drop to 13-9-` on the Grapefruit League season.
The game remained scoreless until the third inning. In the top of the frame, Rainer Nunez hit a solo home run to put the Blue Jays up 1-0. Davis Schneider added a home run of his own in the fourth to give Toronto a 2-0 lead.
The Phillies got one back in the bottom of the inning thanks to an RBI double from catcher J.T. Realmuto. The Phillies then took the lead in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Dylan Campbell and a wild pitch by Blue Jaysreliever Kevin Gowdy.
Chris Bassitt got the start for the Blue Jaysand looked great through 5.1 innings. The Hound struck out four, walked one, and gave up one run on two hits while increasing his pitch count to 85.
Josh Walker then came in and got the last two outs of the 6th. Both of the Philliesruns in the seventh were charged to Zach Pop, who was then relieved by Gowdy. Hayden Juenger gave up another run in the eighth.
Daniel Harper pitched a perfect ninth to pick up the save for Philadelphia.
TheBlue Jays continue their Spring Training slate with a game against the Orioles on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05pm ET.
