If Saturday's Spring Breakout game against the Twins was an indication of what's to come, then the Toronto Blue Jays are in good hands. The Blue Jays prospects trounced Minnesota 10-0.
Neither the game nor the stats count towards the Spring Training totals.
Although they didn't hit a home run, the Blue Jays got contributions all around. Orelvis Martinez, Arjun Nimmala, and Alan Roden continued to shine with at least one RBI each, and the Blue Jays also RBIs from Cutter Coffey, Jacob Sharpe, Brock Tibbits, and Peyton Williams.
The pitching was, arguably, even better than offence. Jake Bloss dazzled with four strikeouts over two scoreless innings, and Cal Stephen, Kendry Rojas and Mason Fluharty also held the Twins at bay.
The story of the game however was the professional debut of Blue Jays top prospect Trey Yesavage. The first round draft pick in 2024 entered the game in the third inning and looked good straight away. In his two innings of work, Yesavage surrendered just two hits while striking out three. He also didn't walk a batter.
Sean Keys, a third baseman labelled as a prospect to watch by MLB, went 0-1 with a walk and a run scored.
Other notable prospects featured include Charles McAdoo, Eddinson Paulino, and Dasan Brown.
