In the nearly 50-year history of the Toronto Blue Jays franchise, George Springer has accomplished something no other Blue Jays player has ever done.
He has led the team in both home runs and stolen bases.
With 32 home runs and 17 stolen bases, Springer the Blue Jays in both categories. It is the third time is his career he has hit at least 30 home runs in a season, and the first time he has done so as a Blue Jay.
For the 1st time in #BlueJays HISTORY a player will lead the team in home runs AND stolen bases in a single season!!

2025 George Springer.

His 17 steals represent his 2nd highest career total and also his second most as a Jay. His career high in stolen bases came in 2023, when he swiped 20 bags.

Now healthy, Springer has resurrected his career

After his down year in 2024, there were many questions about Springer's efficacy, and ability. He has erased all of those concerns. Seeing more time at DH has allowed to keep healthy, and after starting the year down in the Blue Jays lineup, he has found his way to the top of the order.
On a team where so much attention is focused on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, Springer has stolen the show in 2025.
With the postseason looming, Springer can continue to defy father time.
