Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Sunday that it's "pretty unlikely" that Bichette (knee) would be available for a wild-card series, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
It's «pretty unlikely» Bo Bichette would be available for a Wild Card series, John Schneider acknowledged. Hope would be for ALDS if possible
Bichette is taking part in some activity, including light hitting and throwing, but he's still not running, per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.
Bo Bichette is still doing the same things, which is light hitting and throwing. Until he's running, it's still hard to chart out much of a timeline.
Chris Bassitt is still on track for an ALDS return.
Blue Jays can avoid the wild-card round with a win or a Yankees loss today

The 27-year-old was in the midst of a resurgent season at the plate, slashing .311/.357/.483 through 139 games while leading MLB in hits and doubles.
Bichette leads the majors with 181 hits, despite having not played a game in nearly three weeks. 2025 had served as a nice bounce back season following his injury-plagued 2024.
Ideally, the Blue Jays and manager John Schneider would like to wait until Bo is 100% healthy and can go back to being short stop.
