Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette not in lineup vs New York Yankees

The Toronto Blue Jays will be without one of the best hitters in baseball for their series finale against the New York Yankees.
Bo Bichette is out of the #BlueJays lineup today in The Bronx
Really, really bizarre handling of the Bo Bichette incident from yesterday. If he was banged up (which the Jays acknowledged post-game), he probably shouldn't have returned after the weather delay. Again, hopefully it's minor and he can rejoin the lineup on Tuesday.
The Blue Jays shortstop, who leads the Majors in hits with 181, limped off the field in the sixth inning of Saturday's game after colliding with Yankees catcher Austin Wells.
Bichette underwent X-rays that came back negative before returning to the game with a cut-up shin.
It's difficult to overstate just how important Bichette is to the Blue Jays and their postseason hopes.
Now batting .312, Bichette trails only the A's Jacob Wilson (.314) and the Yankees' Aaron Judge (.322) for the American League batting title.
He has hit 18 home runs, raised his OPS to .841 and has done it in all the right moments.
If anyone on this roster looks primed for a dominant run down the stretch and into October, it's Bichette.
Ernie Clement gets the start at shortstop in Bichette's absence, batting fifth. Coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT on Sportsnet.
