Guerrero quietly heating up at the just the right time

While much of the focus lately has been on the resurgence of
George Springer, and the red-hot
Bo Bichette - whom the
Blue Jays placed on the IL earlier on Tuesday - Vladdy has been quietly heating up over the last week of games.
While his 23 home runs might seem low by his standards, over a third of them have in the last 30 games, and two within the last week.
Over his last seven games, Vladdy is hitting .536 with two home runs and five RBIs to go along with an absurd .581 OBP. His hot streak has brought his season average up to .301.
While the Blue Jays have gotten contributions from seemingly everybody this year, Toronto was and is Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s team.
He is the face of the franchise; their superstar, owner of the biggest contract in team history.
While much has been made of his power numbers being seemingly down, 23 HRs and 79 RBIs to go along with a .301/.394/.498 slash line is objectively very good as Vlad has transitioned into a much more complete and well-rounded player.
While many of the Blue Jays have gone cold the past few gams, if Guerrero can continue his strong September, he will be exactly the type of catalyst this team as the season enters its home stretch.
The Blue Jays currently have a two game lead over the New York Yankees.
