Toronto Blue Jays' centerfielder Dauton Varsho exits the game after being hit by a pitch versus the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night.
Varsho's X-rays came back negative after he was hit by a pitch on the right hand during their 7-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.
Blue Jays Daulton Varsho just can't catch a break. He has been hindered by injury all year and now left tonight's game with a hand injury after being hit by a pitch.
Reliever Aaron Ashby came inside with a 96.9 m.p.h. sinker that drilled the Blue Jays' centre fielder as he attempted to briefly check his swing on a 2-2 count in the seventh inning.

Varsho left the game after spending time at home plate favouring his right pinky with the club's training staff in obvious distress. He was replaced on the basepaths and in centre by Myles Straw.
«We'll see how he is tomorrow, pretty sore obviously and not going to push it there with him," manager John Schneider said at his post-game press conference. «(The) good news is his X-rays are negative.»
The 29-year-old has endured an injury-plagued 2025 season after starting the year on the IL as he recovered from off-season shoulder surgery.
When he returned near the end of April, he mashed a team-leading eight homers before a grade-1 strain in his hamstring put him back on the shelf for two months.
He rejoined the team on August 1st, and clubbed seven homers with 22 RBIs in the 23 games since.
Varsho is more known for his league-leading defence, but he ranks among MLB's best in slugging over his limited plate appearances this year with an unqualified .574.
