The switch-hitter hit second while serving as the designated hitter during the Bisons' 2-1 loss to the New York Yankees' top affiliate in their final regular-season game.
After going 2 for 3 the day before, Santander went 0-for-2 against the Railriders, with two walks, taking all four plate appearances from the left side.
He finished a nine-game rehab stint, going 7-for-32 with two doubles and two homers.

During his rehab stint Santander has played the outfield and has hit from both sides of the plate successfully
The 30-year-old took reps in left field during two games earlier in the week, but has made most of his appearances as the DH.
He was given a day off Friday after suiting up for seven contests in eight days.
Santander could factor into the potential playoff roster if he continues to trend in the right direction.
Before hitting the injured list, he was slashing .179/.273/.304 with six homers in 50 games for the Blue Jays.
He had mostly served as Toronto's designated hitter, but also spent time defensively in left and right field and at first base.
Buffalo has now wrapped up its regular-season schedule and Santander potentially could join the team in Toronto as they begin a three-game set with the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.
