The Toronto Blue Jays will have a big challenge next Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to start Shohei Ohtani on the mound in their series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays on April 8, manager Dave Roberts told reporters.

It's a three-game April rematch of the World Series.
It will be Ohtani's second start of the season. He went six scoreless, allowing just one hit in a win over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday.
Shohei Ohtani has six strikeouts in six scoreless innings! 🔥

Blue Jays have had Ohtani's number when pitching of late

However, as great as Ohtani is, he is not pitching against the Cleveland Guardians next week, he is facing the reigning American League Champions.
It should be noted that Ohtani hasn't faired well in the past against Toronto when on the mound.

In last year's World Series, Ohtani made two starts against the Jays. He went 0-1 with a 7.56 ERA and 1.680 WHIP in 8.1 innings.

The Blue Jays took L.A. to the limit in the Fall Classic, but the Dodgers came out on top in Game 7 for their second straight championship.
Toronto is expected to start Max Scherzer, Kevin Gausman and Dylan Cease, while L.A. is expected to start Justin Wrobleski, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Shohei Ohtani in the series.
The Dodgers are 4-1 on the young season, while the Blue Jays are 4-2.
