Former Toronto Blue Jays infielder Justin Turner isn’t ready to call it a career just yet.

According to David Vassegh of 570 Sports, veteran infielder Justin Turner is set to continue his playing career in Mexico, reportedly signing with the Toros de Tijuana.

Now 41, Turner is coming off a difficult 2025 season with the Chicago Cubs.
In a limited role split between first base and designated hitter, he posted a 71 wRC+, marking a significant dip in production.
While he remained effective against left-handed pitching, recording a solid .759 OPS, Turner struggled mightily versus right-handers, hitting just .141 without a home run.
It was the first truly down offensive year for Turner in over a decade.
Even into his late 30s, he had remained a consistent contributor before his tough stint in Chicago.
Over a 17-year MLB career, Turner has suited up for seven different teams.
In the past three seasons alone, he’s had stops with the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, and Chicago Cubs.

Turner best known for his nine-year run with the Los Angeles Dodgers

After beginning his career as a dependable but low-profile utility player, Turner blossomed into a star in Los Angeles.
He broke out in 2014, posting an impressive .340/.404/.493 slash line in a semi-regular role.
By 2016, he had taken over as the Dodgers’ everyday third baseman and hit a career-high 27 home runs.
During his time in L.A., Turner finished in the top 10 of National League MVP voting twice and earned two All-Star selections.
The Dodgers reached the World Series three times in a four-year span from 2017 through 2020, with Turner playing a key role throughout.
He recorded a strong .849 OPS across 83 plate appearances on baseball’s biggest stage.
That run culminated in a championship during the shortened 2020 season, when Turner delivered a stellar .320/.346/.720 performance in the series.
In July 2024, the Blue Jays traded Turner to the Mariners in exchange for outfield prospect RJ Schreck.
At the time of the deal, Turner was hitting .257 with six home runs before finishing the season in Seattle in 90 games.
