Toronto Blue Jays Starting Lineup

Starting pitcher overview

Eric Lauer will toe the rubber today for the Blue Jays. In his last outing Lauer (flu) was far from full strength, and gave up two runs on three hits and three walks in two innings against the White Sox, Lauer took the loss.
Lauer's start was pushed back one day due to the illness, but it sounds like it still negatively affected his performance.
Miguel Vargas plated two runs with a triple in the first inning, and Lauer was fortunate to strand two-thirds of his baserunners in this one.
He is presumably back to full strength for this afternoon's matchup at against the Twins at Rogers Centre.
Joe Ryan gets the ball for Minnesota. In his last outing Ryan earned the win, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks over five innings against the Tigers. He struck out seven.
Ryan wasn't dominant but was able to limit damage and grind through five innings to earn his first win of the 2026 season.
It was an encouraging bounce-back performance after the right-hander was tagged for five runs in his previous outing against the Royals.
Through three starts, the 29-year-old owns a 4.40 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with a 17:5 K:BB across 14.1 innings.
